 1. From the three duties of Hazrat Mahdi (as) First: "Since science and philosophy are now dominant and the plague of materialism and naturalism has spread among mankind, before everything belief should be saved in such a way that it silences philosophy and materialism. … preserving the people of belief from misguidance " (Emirdag Lahikasi, p. 266)
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi stated that the first duty of Hazrat Mahdi (as) was the intellectual elimination of Darwinism, materialism and atheism. The fact that, as Bediuzzaman describes, Hazrat Mahdi will perform this task “before everything” reveals that Darwinism is the most important corruption of the dajjal. Bediuzzaman says that the dajjal will disseminate Darwinism “using science and philosophy.” The dajjal will spread Darwinism by way of science and philosophy in order to turn people away from belief in Allah and to cause disorder and anarchy to rule the world. But Hazrat Mahdi (as) will wage an intellectual struggle and smash the idol of the dajjal that is Darwinism in order to ensure the rule of Islamic moral values and to bring peace, security and justice to the world. Intellectually, he will totally silence Darwinism and materialism.
 2. . Also, since the strange circumstances and fearsome activities of the Antichrist’s regime, and the covert organization and government that he founds, have been narrated as referring to his person, their true meaning has remained obscure. For example, “He will be so powerful and long-lived that only Jesus (as) will be able to kill him (his intellectual system); nothing else will be able to.” it will overturn his way and rapacious regime…. Such a religion will emerge among the true followers of Jesus (as), and it will follow the Qur’an and become united with it. On the coming of Jesus (as) and emergence of the true Christian religion, the antichrist’s irreligious way (intellectual system) will be wiped out and will cease. The antichrist’s person could otherwise be killed by a mere germ or by influenza. (The Fifth Ray, Fifth Point)
What Bediuzzaman is referring to in this passage is the rapacious, that is destructive, bloodthirsty regime of the dajjal, Darwinism, that brings with it disorder and conflict. Bediuzzaman states that Darwinism will spread as an intellectual system, will turn into a heretical religion and will turn people away from belief in Allah by deceiving them. Today the heretical ideology of Darwinism has been spread across the world by the system of the dajjal, freemasonry, and has become a false religion. In the face of that danger, the important thing is the total elimination of the dajjal’s heretical system. Bediuzzaman says that a single germ can destroy the dajjal’s person, but that the real danger is the Darwinist intellectual system he disseminates. Darwin, Marx, Stalin, Lenin, Trotsky, Malthus, Hitler and other such Darwinists, all of whom have espoused and advanced Darwinist and materialist ideas, have died from the very simplest of causes and thus left their deceptive ideologies behind them. The important thing is the demolition, with full scientific proofs, of a heretical ideology, in other words Darwinism, that allows the survival of the system of the dajjal under masonic rule and encourages people toward irreligion and immorality.
 3. . Materialism is a spiritual plague which has infected man with a fearsome fever, causing him to be visited by Divine wrath. The more the ability to inculcate and criticize expands, so does that plague spread. (Letters, Seeds of Reality, p. 553)
Bediuzzaman says that Darwinism, the heretical ideological system of the dajjal, will grow like a plague under the persuasion and indoctrination of the dajjal and spread right across the world. Darwinist propaganda is constantly being produced by one section of the press that is monopolized by freemasonry and dominates the world. And this terrible deception is constantly being advanced by way of masonic publications. The reason why so many people ignorantly sign up to Darwinism is not scholarly evidence, but rather the intense indoctrination by masonic publications. In order for the ideological system of the dajjal to be brought down, this false indoctrination must be eliminated and this mass deception exposed. When the world is shown the evidence that repudiates Darwinism and the deception at the heart of this heretical ideology is revealed, the ideology will be defeated.
 4. A tyrannical current born of naturalist and materialist philosophy will gradually become strong and spread at the end of time by means of materialist philosophy, reaching such a degree that it denies Allah. (Letters)
Darwinism is an atheist ideology. It openly denies the existence of Allah. It even seeks to mislead people by allegedly ascribing divine status to blind chance. (Surely Allah is beyond that.) This is one of the main characteristics of the dajjal set out in the hadith. The dajjal will approach people in the name of Allah, and will then claim to be a prophet, after which he will even say that he is divine. (Surely Allah is beyond that.) Darwinism, freemasonry’s weapon, is currently in just that position. Darwinism is a heretical faith that leads people to deny Allah and attributes divinity to blind chance. The main aim of the Darwinist indoctrination carried across the world through masonic publications is to turn people away from belief in Allah. That is why it is so misleading to describe Darwinism, which represents the foundation of the system of the dajjal, as just an ordinary theory. Darwinism is the greatest weapon in the hands of the dajjal, who leads people to denial, and it must be destroyed completely, from the roots. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will discharge that duty, and silence and intellectually destroy Darwinism.
 5. One interpretation must be as follows: it is an allusion and sign that quantitively the spiritual community of mujahidên (intellectual strugglers) who will recognize Jesus (as) and follow him, will be very few and small comparatively to the ‘scientific’, physical armies of the dajjal. (The Rays / The Fifth Ray - Second Station - p.110)
Bediuzzaman’s reference to “the ‘scientific’, physical armies of thedajjal” indicates that his intellectual struggle will employ science and philosophy, for which reason the counter-attack against him must also be an intellectual one. There must be a powerful, scholarly campaign against Darwinism, which freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, has spread across the world, until that terrible corruption and deception is brought down. No matter how few their numbers against the hordes of the dajjal, since believers are the supporters of Allah they will inevitably be victorious and with the coming of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will defeat this cunning stratagem of the dajjal.
 6. . Moreover, in the world of humanity, the secret society of the dajjal will overturn civilization and subvert all mankind's sacred matters, with the intention of denying the Godhead. A zealous and self-sacrificing community known as a Christian community but worhy of being called "Muslim Christians," will the reality of Islam, and will kill and rout that society of the Dajjal, thus saving humanity from atheism. (Letters / Twenty - Ninth Letter - Seventh Section - p.516)
The committee of the dajjal described by Bediuzzaman is a heretical one set up by masons in order to lead the way in the spread of Darwinist ideology. Fascist, communist and Darwinist leaders such as Darwin, Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, Engels, Hitler and Mao were all masons, and each was charged with spreading Darwinist ideology and oppressing people by the use of that perverted dogma. Each one’s aim was to distance whole societies from belief in Allah and lead them in the direction of atheism. The world has been in tumult right through the period in which the committee of the dajjal has been active, world wars have led to the deaths of millions and mankind suffered the worst persecution and slaughter in the history of the world. As Bediuzzaman says, and with Allah’s leave, with the coming to Earth of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as), Christians will make an alliance with Muslims and this powerful and devout community will strive as one against the dajjal. With the coming to Earth of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as), the Darwinist ideology imposed by the committee of the dajjal will be utterly silenced, and the dajjal’s deceptive intellectual system will be destroyed.
7. The dajjal is superficially like a human being. But he is arrogant and pharaohlike and has forgotten Allah, so is a foolish satan and intriguing man who calls his superficial, tyrannical rule godhead. But his huge current of atheism, his collective personality, is truly vast. The awesome descriptions of the dajjal in the narrations allude to that.( Letters / Fifteenth Letter - p.80)
The dajjal resembles any ordinary person. As described by Bediuzzaman the dajjal is an unintelligent devil who is full of pride, aspires to divine status (surely Allah is beyond that) and has a deceptive appearance. The dangerous things and what really needs to be suppressed is the heretical ideological system that accompanies him. That ideological system, Darwinism, and freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, lead people toward irreligion, disseminate heretical ideas and achieve devilish aims by devilish methods. In this way, schools have been turned into hotbeds of Darwinism. Darwinist indoctrination has led to the emergence of an anarchist, communist, atheist, Darwinist, Marxist, Leninist, fascist and satanist youth. The result is a younger generation who have turned away from belief in Allah, who attach no importance to spiritual values, who seek pleasure above all, and who are degenerate and aimless. Oppression in the world has risen, people are aggressive toward one another, slaughter has increased and the world is in a state of disorder. These things are the results of Darwinism the ideological system launched by freemasonry, the system of the dajjal. It is this mendacious ideological system that now rules the world that has to be eliminated and destroyed.
8. It says in a narration: “The day the dajjal appears all the world will hear. He will travel the world in forty days ....”
Allah knows best, on condition such narrations are completely sound, they miraculously predict that in the time of the dajjal, the means of communication and travel will have so advanced that an event will be heard by all the world in a day. It will be shouted out by the radio and will be heard in east and west, and will be read about in all the newspapers. One man will travel the whole world in forty days and see the seven continents and seventy countries. These narrations thus miraculously foretold the telegraph, telephone, radio, railway, and aeroplane ten centuries before they appeared. Moreover, the dajjal will be heard not in his capacity as the dajjal, but as a despotic king (dictator). And his travelling everywhere will not be to occupy those places, but to create dissension and to seduce people away from the right path. (The Rays / The Fifth Ray - Second Station - p.111)
Freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, has spread Darwinism to all mankind through the propaganda of the media, one part of which it monopolizes entirely. Although Darwinism is a complete deception, it has become familiar to the whole world through the activities of the masonic media, and although it is a deception, it has become acceptable to almost the entire world. Through masonic techniques, the worst deception in the history of the world has suddenly entered schools and many military bases and now rules the world. So much so that this heretical belief is immune to any objections or opposition, and is protected under national laws.
Because the dajjal has spread his corruption everywhere in the most effective way, a way that reaches everyone, has intellectually placed the world under his sway and made his corruption sovereign without people even being aware of it. He has instilled this corruption everywhere and then ensured that it is protected. The masonic powers at the head of the system of the dajjal use all possible forms of imposition and despotism to ensure the world dominion of this mass deception. But the corruption of the dajjal will of course be eliminated with the coming of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) in the End Times.
9. FIFTH MATTER : There is a narration: “At the end of time, certain persons such as the antichrist (dajjal) will claim godhead and force others to prostrate before them.”
Allah knows best, an interpretation is this: just as a nomad chieftain who denies the king imagines in himself and in other chieftains a small rulership proportionate to their power; so those who come to lead the school of naturalists and materialists, imagine in themselves a sort of lordship proportionate to their power, and to demonstrate their power, make their subjects bow down worshipfully before themselves and their statues, and incline their heads. (The Rays / The Fifth Ray - Second Station - p.105 )
10. Antichrist-like genius, blind in one eye, sees only the domain of this life; it is materialist and worships this world. It turns men into beasts.
Yes, deaf genius worships nature, it empowers blind force. But guidance recognizes conscious art and looks to purposeful power. Genius draws a curtain of ingratitude over the earth; guidance scatters the light of thanks. (The Words / Gleams - p.749)
Masons, who spread the system of the dajjal, have made Darwinism, which they employ as a weapon, a heretical faith by disseminating it across the world. In this way the dajjal has literally deified himself (Surely Allah is beyond that) and by using Darwinism to dominate people’s brains he has effectively turned a great mass of people into a monster. Even devout people are affected. They seek to set Christians, Jews and Muslims against one another and incite division and discord among them. In this way, the dajjal turns some people into his own supporters. He thus aims to prevent believers coming together and strengthening one another and eliminating the pressure initiated by the dajjal. Through that deception, the dajjal wants some believers to become involved in an artificial struggle against one another and to strengthen and maintain his own rule at the same time.
As also suggested by Bediuzzaman, freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, will begin to take over schools and barracks by the deceptive use of scientific techniques. And he has succeeded in that. Indeed, following schools, the dajjal did enter military establishments and lead people toward disaster by cunning and misleading methods. People influenced by the stratagems of the dajjal there turned into soldiers of the dajjal who brought oppression to the world. The dajjal used these people to create an oppressive and ruthless system in the military establishments concerned. Darwinist leaders such as Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and Mao were the soldiers of this heretical system of the dajjal, or freemasonry. In their time, shedding blood and killing the innocent was regarded as perfectly normal by everyone. Because of the corruption of the dajjal, mosques in Iraq have been bombed and Muslims killed while worshiping. Young children are shot in the heads in Palestine. People are shot in the face when they open their doors. Hundreds of people in East Turkestan have been executed, in violation of international law, without being permitted a legal defense, and thousands recently disappeared in a single night. People in many countries are shot as soon as they open their doors, before they can utter a single word. Maternity clinics and hospitals in Afghanistan are frequently bombed. As a result of the intense indoctrination and training by the dajjal, many armies today, such as the Chinese and Russian armies, now bloodily attack religious moral values within their chains of command, even though individually their members are good people and would never normally behave in a cruel manner. Many armies have become part of this ruthless system. The reason why repression is so widespread is that Darwinist indoctrination has become regarded as normal and can easily be implemented. Because all those engaged in this cruelty have received a Darwinist education. Under the influence of Darwinism, these people have become bloodthirsty Darwinist monsters who follow the orders of high-ranking masons. These are not their real ideas, but under the influence of freemasonry, or the system of the dajjal, they have become part of this bloody system. Those pulling their strings are the masons, the army of the dajjal, who spread Darwinism across the world. Using mass psychology, the dajjal can easily enforce his oppression by employing the freemasons. Under the influence of these masonic leasers, troops in many parts of the world have learned repression and bloodshed and become cruel and merciless. Only the heroic Turkish Army and a few others have remained unsullied by this corruption. The devout Turkish Army has been spared this contagion, and thanks to its profound faith has never been taken in by the corruption of the dajjal.
These people, who are good as individuals but who under masonic indoctrination have become ruthless and destructive, are proof of the danger represented by Darwinism, the corruption of the dajjal that the freemasons are spreading across the world. As Bediuzzaman says, freemasonry, which has taken command of the cult of Darwinism and materialism, has initiated the worst corruption in the world and propelled people toward it. By Allah’s leave, the time of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be one of peace and ease, when the earth is purged of this corruption and all believers can worship in peace.
 11. There is a narration: “The Sufyan will be an eminent scholar; he will fall into misguidance through his learning. Numerous other scholars will follow him.” The knowledge is with Allah, an interpretation is this: although he has no means of sovereignty such as strength and power, tribes and peoples, courage and riches, like a king, he will win that position through his cleverness, science, and political acumen, and through his intelligence he will bewitch the minds of many other scholars, making them dictate his wishes. He will attract numerous teachers to support him, and pointing out to them the way to an education system stripped of religious instruction, will work for its widespread enforcement. (The Rays / The Fifth Ray - Second Station - p.106 )
The corruption of the dajjal is very sly. The system of the dajjal, freemasonry, has portrayed Darwinism as acceptable, and through this corruption it has enfolded the whole world and the great majority of people are now, though they may be unaware of it, components of the system of the dajjal. Through their cunning techniques, masons have turned some educators and professors into supporters of Darwinism. Many educators across the world are now supporters and adherents of this terrible corruption. The children raised under the influence of the system of the dajjal become part of this same Darwinist education and fall into the same corruption. Using his own false knowledge, the dajjal works on scholars by appearing to possess scholarship himself, and thus draws them into his corruption. Since they receive a Darwinist education, the majority of people began espousing this dreadful corruption of the dajjal. Since they are unaware of the scale of the corruption of Darwinism, the dajjal makes them into his own soldiers. When people realize the scale of this great corruption of the dajjal and see the danger posed by Darwinism can they understand how they have been deceived and followed the dajjal unawares. It is therefore of the greatest importance for the deception of Darwinism to be exposed with full supporting evidence and for people to fully comprehend this greatest fraud in the history of the world.
12. The great dajjal will abrogate the injunctions of the Christian Law, and destroying the bonds in accordance with which the life of Christian society is administered, he will prepare the ground for anarchy and Gog and Magog... Similarly, the Sufyan, ... due to the devices of satan and the evil-commanding soul, will try to abrogate some of the eternal injunctions of the Shari‘a of Muhammad (saas), and destroying the material and spiritual bonds of human life, and leaving headstrong, drunken, giddy souls without restriction, he will unfasten the luminous chains of respect and compassion. By giving people a freedom which is pure despotism so they fall on one another in a swamp of putrid lust, he will open up the way to a terrible anarchy. One of the worst corruptions of freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, is the way that it depicts itself as religious but seeks to drive a wedge between devout Muslims, Christians and Jews who all believe in Allah by spreading corruption among them. It tries to set believers at one another’s throats by approaching them behind a mask of religious devotion, suggesting that the others are the dajjal and trying to introduce corruption into their beliefs. In this way, masons seek to neutralize the main force that is capable of vanquishing them. If true Muslims, Christians and Jews live together as brothers, praise Allah and strive to spread religious moral values, thus opposing the dajjal, then of course that will put an end to his system. That is why freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, suggests to immaculate Muslims, Christians and Jews that the others are the dajjal, sets them at odds with one another and even incites them to attack each other. It is devout believers that will eliminate this ghastly corruption. It is obvious that believers will be stronger and victorious through praising Allah, not through falling out with one another. It is essential that they become fully aware of this threat and wage their true struggle against Darwinism, the greatest weapon in the hands of freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, in order to be able to put an end to the corruption of the dajjal.
 13. . It will be the truly pious followers of Jesus who will kill the gigantic collective personality of materialism and irreligion which the dajjal will form and destroy his ideas and disbelief, which are atheistic. Those truly pious Christians will blend the essence of true Christianity with the essence of Islam and rout the dajjal with their combined strength, in effect (spiritually) killing him. The narration: “Jesus (as) will come and will perform the obligatory prayers behind the Mahdi and follow him,” alludes to this union, and to the sovereignty of the Qur’an and its being followed. The End Times we are living in are when Darwinism, the worst corruption of the dajjal, have spread right across the world. It is the fundamental source of all the irreligion, oppression and slaughter, immorality, war and ruthlessness that have emerged in the world. The corruption of Darwinism has been spread through indoctrination in the press and media by freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, and has entered most people’s subconscious without their even being aware of it, distanced them from all human qualities and now holds the world under its sway. Darwinism is the strongest weapon in the hands of freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, and the worst corruption of the End Times.
By Allah’s leave, the return of the Prophet Jesus (as) is imminent. And as can be seen from the hadith and statements by great Islamic scholars, Hazrat Mahdi (as) is already among us and engaged in his intellectual struggle. The Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will combat the corruption of the dajjal together and eliminate this whole heretical system. This age will be one of peace, love, justice and plenty. The corruption that freemasonry, the system of the dajjal, seeks to insert between Muslims, Christians and Jews will come to an end during that time, and all believers will worship together in peace as brothers. People will enjoy the freedom of liberation from the corruption of the dajjal, and the world will enter the Golden Age in all its glory. The coming of the Golden Age, when peace, happiness and beauty rule is, by Allah’s leave, close at hand.
